Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) Program
In 1969, Sri Sathya Sai Baba began a program for children in India to teach ancient principles of righteousness. The program became known as Bal Vikas (Blossoming of the Child), and outside India it is now known a Sai Spiritual Education (SSE). The SSE program is conducted for children by Sri Sathya Sai Organisation centres in over 100 countries. SSE promotes the Unity of Religions, the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man, placing a ceiling on one’s desires, and the emergence into thought, word, and deed of the five human values: Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Love and Nonviolence; all exemplified with stories about the life of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Onsite SSE Classes
The Sathya Sai Baba Centres organise onsite SSE classes, which are held weekly at a time and place suitable to the members of the Centre. Typlically, the clases are conducted between September and July following the regular school year. The program is an integral part of the Centre activities.
Students are enrolled in the program in four SSE groups according to the grades they are attending in secular school:
SSE Group 1 - Grades 1 through 3
SSE Group 2 - Grades 4 through 6
SSE Group 3 - Grades 7 through 9
SSE Group 4 - Grades 10 through 12
You are invited to see examples of SSE student art, poetry and videos on Sai Shine.
